Denis Bortek is the soul of Jad Wio, born in the French underground of the 1980s. A distinct figure in French rock, he has shaped an elegant, romantic and glamorous world, carried by a personal lyricism, a deep vocal timbre and an androgynous presence that shifts conventions without forcing them. On stage, his voice leads finely honed texts, poised between tension and surrender, while guitars and synths outline changing atmospheres, always in motion.
Today, Jad Wio brings Bat Kat and Vox together around Bortek. The current line-up sharpens the band’s energy and navigates its repertoire while opening new paths, without resorting to nostalgia. On the programme: reworked signature tracks, dark pulses, electric detonations and contrasting dynamics that reaffirm the project’s fluid DNA. The performance is conceived as a live narrative, where the theatre of the body and the precision of the arrangements move in tandem. Join them at the Molotov in Marseille on 7 March 2026.
