LA songwriter and pianist Em Beihold brings her Tales Of A Failed Shapeshifter Tour to The Mod Club in Toronto on May 24, 2026. Between bedroom pop and classic songwriter craft, she leans on piano-led melodies and clear, no-frills writing. Her songs turn everyday doubts, mental health and relationships into concise pop moments, from early tracks shared online to the breakout Groundhog Day and Numb Little Bug. After the self-released Infrared in 2017, she sharpened the formula on the 2022 EP Egg in the Backseat, mixing intimate piano-voice pieces with discreet electronic touches and straight-to-the-point hooks.
This show is all ages. Em Beihold has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold on the tour goes to organizations working on immigrant rights and supporting deportees, migrants and refugees.
