Mass Hysteria « Sans Détour »

Mass Hysteria celebrates thirty years of riffs and French-language lyrics with Sans Détour, an evening conceived as a look back over their career. Join them on 20 November 2026 at the Zénith de Toulon to revisit the band’s history through archives, conversations and live performance.

Born in Paris in the early 1990s, Mass Hysteria blends heavy guitars, groove-driven rhythms and industrial and electronic touches. The band first gained recognition with Le bien-être et la paix (1997) and then established its signature sound on Contraddiction (1999), before exploring more melodic territory in the early 2000s. What followed was a tighter, more direct sound, from Une somme de détails to Failles, then L’Armée des ombres, Matière noire and Maniac, featuring a chanted vocal delivery and collective choruses designed for the stage. On the road, in clubs as well as festivals, the band has built its place over time.

Sans Détour lines up an exhibition, a meeting and a retrospective concert. The set is designed to span three decades, from the beginnings to the most recent tracks, with the energy that has accompanied each period of the band.
