Bernard Mabille postpones his farewell and returns to the stage with a show that reflects him: more intimate, freer and sharper. An author, columnist and master of the bon mot, he sifts current events, takes on our “kings of buffoonery” and allows himself the words people no longer dare to utter. His promise remains the same: the day the powerful become reasonable, he’ll put the microphone away. In the meantime, he unfolds his precision machinery, between confidences, political barbs and wordplay, in the vein of the chansonniers he embraces.
You’ll find his sense of rhythm, a pen that cuts cleanly without effort, and that taste for irony that makes you smile before making you think. No flashy tricks, just the art of the word and the pleasure of being together to laugh at the world as it is.
