Sam Sauvage

Sam Sauvage arrives at the Pavillon des Bains in Mers-les-Bains on April 11, 2026. A singer-songwriter from northern France, he shapes an alternative pop informed by ’80s rock and new wave, where melancholy brushes up against a rawer energy. With a deep voice and warm timbre, he writes direct, vividly visual lyrics, attentive to image as much as to rhythm, in the vein of contemporary French chanson. His self-titled debut EP, released on Cinq 7, laid the foundations of a world where modern poetry meets production that is at once retro and contemporary.

On stage, Sam Sauvage plays with tension and movement. Precise in his interpretation, frontally present, with loose gestures that can, in bursts, recall the rhythmic eccentricity of Talking Heads without adhering to it. With tousled hair and a frank gaze, he establishes a simple rapport with the audience and lets the electricity circulate without overstating it.
