David Walters

On April 24, 2026, David Walters arrives at KUBB, within Le Tangram in Évreux. A French-Caribbean musician and singer based in Marseille, he has navigated since the early 2000s between Creole cultures, French chanson and electronic music. First noticed as a DJ and multi-instrumentalist at the heart of the club scene, he went on to carve out a singular path where subtle rhythms, acoustic guitars and vocals in French, English and Creole interplay.

From Awa (2006) to Home (2011), Walters laid the foundations of a hybrid sound. Signed to Heavenly Sweetness, he later tightened his focus with Soleil Kréyol (2020) and Nocturne (2021), in collaboration with Vincent Ségal, Ballaké Sissoko and Roger Raspail. His tracks range from spare ballads to Afro-Caribbean grooves, while maintaining a natural link to club culture.

On stage, that alternation between warm pulses, percussion, guitars and loops is present, carried by a clear voice and precise arrangements.
