Patson is back with Baltazar, a live stand-up that plays directly off the audience. Discovered on the first season of the Jamel Comedy Club, the French‑Ivorian comedian has sharpened a highly oral style, fed by observations of everyday life, his comings and goings between Africa, the Antilles and France, and a relentless sense of rhythm.

Microphone in hand, he strings together jokes, plays with accents, improvises when necessary and keeps that punchy, unfiltered delivery. Baltazar continues in this vein: a clear-eyed take on the times, a gift of gab, quick glimpses of neighborhood life, family dynamics and tiffs from here and elsewhere.

Regulars will recognize nods to his classics — “Yes papa,” “jeu de jambes” — but the material is mostly new, written for today, with the stage energy that has become his trademark. No set, no characters, just Patson and his sense of timing, between dry one-liners and sharply observed stories.
