For the first time, the Marathon! festival brings its decks to the Cabaret Sauvage. Under the circular tent at La Villette, the evening blends live acts, performances and hybrid formats—somewhere between disco and electronic music reworked for the dancefloor. A programme conceived for listening, watching and dancing in the venue’s distinctive acoustics, on Thursday 16 April 2026.
Club-culture figures Kiddy Smile and Dimitri from Paris lead the night with sets where disco, house grooves and reworked classics intersect. Kiddy Smile arrives with his ballroom heritage, pop hooks and a stage-ready energy. Opposite him, Dimitri from Paris unfurls a mixing art that spans soul, funk and house, with a sense of narrative that stretches the night.
In counterpoint, James Holden & Zimpel offer an electronic and organic sound—between improvisation, slow pulses and hypnotic build-ups. Their dialogue opens a looser space, conducive to a gentle trance. Steve Reich’s pieces, performed by Links, add a minimalist, repetitive dimension, at the border between concert and attentive listening.
Cabaret Contemporain completes the trajectory with a live set where body, gesture and instruments converse like a living machine. The boundary between stage and dancefloor blurs; composition meets the moment.
