Info
Mariah the Scientist brings the Hearts Sold Separately Tour to MTELUS in Montréal on March 4, 2026. Atlanta-raised and New York-schooled for a brief stint, she left biology studies at St. John’s University, a detour that shaped her name and a methodical approach to songwriting. Her sound leans toward a minimalist R&B where the voice leads, marked by synthetic textures, slow to mid-tempo rhythms, and lyrics that cut straight to the point.
After early attention with the independent project To Die For in 2018, she released Master in 2019 on RCA, drawing a clear line around her aesthetic. Ry Ry World followed in 2021, folding pop structures into her melodic R&B and inviting a few Atlanta rap voices. The 2022 EP Buckles Laboratories Presents: The Intermission compressed her themes—breakup, solitude, doubt—into a tighter format. To Be Eaten Alive in 2023 continued that introspective thread with sparse arrangements and a few guest appearances.
On stage, she navigates from slow ballads to measured mid-tempos, keeping focus on narrative and tone. Expect a set that threads recent tracks with earlier standouts, giving her stories room to breathe in the space of MTELUS.
