July Talk brings the Touch X Tour to Vancouver, centering the vocal dialogue of Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay Goldstein. Formed in Toronto, the band channels a lean alternative rock sound where rough‑edged blues, abrasive pop and post‑punk influences meet. The push and pull between Dreimanis’ gravelly baritone and Fay’s clearer tone shapes songs that move between tension and release, anchored by tight guitar‑bass‑drums arrangements.
This tour revisits the world of Touch (2016) while folding in the spacious moods of Pray for It (2020) and the more immediate punch of Remember Never Before (2023), alongside early cuts from their 2012 debut. On stage, that contrast at the mic and the emphasis on rhythm drive a set that keeps the energy focused and direct, true to the band’s core.
