Salebarbes

Salebarbes brings its Acadian pulse to Théâtre Manuvie in Brossard on 22 February 2027, at 6000 Boulevard de Rome. Formed by musicians from New Brunswick and the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, the collective explores a francophone repertoire that links Acadie and Louisiana. Voices are shared, roles rotate, and the sound leans toward folk and cajun with touches of country and rock. Live, the music runs on danceable rhythms, layered choruses and the swing of Acadian speech, carried by clear, accessible song structures.

On record, the path runs from the concert document Live au Pas Perdus (2019) to Gin à l’eau salée (2021), which mixes originals and traditional pieces, and À boire deboutte (2023). On stage, the project stays close to its core: collective energy, a feel for tradition without nostalgia, and a link to the contemporary North American francophone scene. In Brossard, the set draws from that catalogue and the material the band has taken through festivals and mid-sized rooms across Canada.
