Helmut Lotti presents his project Helmut Lotti Goes Classic on 30 December 2026 at the Trixxo Theater Hasselt. A Flemish singer who rose to prominence in the 1990s, he popularized a way of moving from the classical repertoire to popular songs without lowering musical standards. On stage he navigates between arias, timeless standards and traditional songs, in French, English, Italian or Latin, with clear diction and a strong sense of melody. The programme sheds new light on hallmark tracks from the Goes Classic series, with classical arrangements and a few carefully chosen covers, ranging from nods to great composers to more contemporary ballads. Helmut Lotti cultivates the art of bridging genres: making the emotion of an operatic aria coexist with the effectiveness of a pop melody while maintaining an accessible approach.
