Info
Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Badaboum, Paris, Camilla Sparksss, Swiss-Canadian musician and co‑founder of Peter Kernel, comes to present her tense, confrontational electro‑noise pop. Born in Kenora, Ontario, Barbara Lehnhoff has shaped a sound of heavy, dubplate‑pressed beats, grainy synths and cutting vocals. From For You The Wild (2014) to Brutal (2019) and its remix companion (2020), she draws a line between darkwave and experimentation. She was recently seen touring with A Place to Bury Strangers, composing for the Ypsigrock Festival with Alec Ounsworth and Eva Geist, and creating the music for Der Besuch der Alten Dame on a European tour. With over 500 concerts to her name across Europe, North Africa and North America, the independent label she co‑founded, On The Camper Records, and a new album, ICU Run, released in 2025, this trajectory continues.
Opening the evening is Mortòri, the solo project of Aris Bassetti (Peter Kernel), which began in 2023. Written in the Ticinese dialect, the set explores the flip side of love stories, blending electronic textures with avant‑garde tendencies. Mortòri deconstructs the relationship between the local and the global and gives a rare language a sonic presence, while offering an intimate counterpoint to the night’s energy.
