Voilaaa Sound System

On 27 March 2026 at La Rotonde Châteaurenard, Voilaaa Sound System takes to the decks and microphones with its hybrid format: DJs, MCs and live FX blended in the spirit of Caribbean sound systems and Notting Hill. Around producer Bruno Patchworks Hovart, the lineup brings together Freakistan, Pat Kalla and Lass for an afro-disco set conceived for dancing.

Bruno Patchworks Hovart, a Lyon-based producer with multiple aliases, has for more than fifteen years explored a wide spectrum of styles through labels across the globe. In 2015 he launched Voilaaa, an afro-disco project whose album On te l’avait dit rekindles the 70s energy, from Lagos to Abidjan. On stage, Voilaaa Sound System extends this vein with selections, extended versions, dub mixes and percussion.

Lass links the legacy of West Africa’s great singers to a contemporary afropop sensibility. After more than a hundred shows, his voice and his lyrics in Wolof and French naturally find their place on the collective’s rhythms, between clear melodies and a measured flow.
