Ashen

ASHEN, a Parisian metalcore band founded in 2021, will take the stage at Les Cuizines Chelles on May 22, 2026. Conceived from the outset as an outlet, the project channels the past, traumas and fears fed by the modern world into sonic material. With a multifaceted, introspective identity, the band probes the expression of intense feelings and sets opposing emotional poles in dialogue. Sonically, razor‑sharp guitars, dark textures, taut melodic lines and abrupt breaks outline a shifting terrain that moves from restraint to impact. The songs evoke yesterday’s scars and tomorrow’s shadow, and how these tensions shape each member. Live, ASHEN plays the dynamic between fragility and anger, creates moments to breathe before plunging back into density—without gratuitous effects—to stay as close as possible to what the band is experiencing. An evening that foregrounds the search for a direct, unvarnished emotional language.
