Altin Gün

Altin Gün will perform on April 19, 2026 at Le Bikini in Ramonville St Agne. Based in Amsterdam, the Dutch‑Turkish quintet shapes a sound that links Anatolian folk and psychedelic rock, with wah‑wah guitars, enveloping bass lines and organ layers. Since On in 2018, the band has established itself as one of the faces of the revival of Turkish‑inspired grooves, drawing on 1970s masters such as Barış Manço and Erkin Koray.

With Yol in 2021, Altin Gün broadened its palette, incorporating synths and drum machines for a more ’80s, dreamlike tint. Their fifth album, Garip, refocuses the project on its roots: a selection of songs written by Turkish folk bard Neset Ertas, which the band reinterprets in its own language, between tradition and psychedelic pulses. True to their approach, they mix popular repertoire with compositions by folk songwriters to carry these melodies across eras and stages.

On stage, Altin Gün brings together Erdinç Eçevit on vocals, synths and saz, Thijs Elzinga on guitar, Jasper Verhulst on bass, Chris Bruining on percussion and Daniel Smienk on drums. It’s an opportunity to dive into Garip while traversing the different stages of a trajectory that is already well defined.
