Lézard

Lézard, a Belgian five-piece of post-punk with disco contours, will play at Supersonic Paris on 26 March 2026. The band walks a tightrope between angular guitars, a dry bass and sharp keyboards, with a sense of groove that compels movement. You can hear clear nods to Devo, XTC and Talking Heads, as well as traces of The Contortions, LCD Soundsystem and the veteran Belgian act Telex.

"Nothing At All" and "Coltrane & XTC" set the scene: square rhythms, off-kilter vocals, melodies that grate yet stick in the mind. Lézard writes concisely, plays tightly and leaves room for tension as much as for dance. On stage, their disco-tinged art-punk focuses on the essentials—no excess—with arrangements built around a motif that takes it elsewhere.

The concert on 26 March at Supersonic Paris will be an opportunity to see where this band stands as it continues to play more dates and compose new material, balancing post-punk energy and electronic pulses, somewhere between mechanical coolness and club warmth.
