Alexis Le Rossignol « Le sens de la vie »

French comedian Alexis Le Rossignol draws on everyday life and those blurred areas where nothing seems to be happening, but where many things are decided. In Le sens de la vie, a horse named Sans plus serves as a starting point, as does a desire that wasn’t really one, to unfold human-scale stories. He mixes narration with a kind of kitchen-table philosophy, alternating vignettes, digressions and the questions we usually put off. What do we make of our lives? How are our choices, renunciations and the little maneuvers we use to stay balanced formed? With a measured delivery, precise writing and a slight off-kilter touch, Alexis sets up situations before twisting them just enough.

At the Théâtre La Gaîté Rive Gauche in Paris, on 23 May 2026, he unfolds this new set as one opens a notebook: personal fragments, field observations, absurd micro-logics, hushed confidences. No grand theories—rather, details that come together and eventually shed light on the question without locking it down. You’ll meet inner dialogues, tiny lives, slightly wobbly plans, and that little signature sound of Alexis, somewhere between gentle lucidity and feigned nonchalance.
