Info
Alexis Le Rossignol draws his stories from everyday life and those grey zones where almost nothing seems to happen, but where everything is decided. In Le sens de la vie, he starts from a memory of a horse named Sans plus and from a longing that wasn’t really one, to unfold tales at a human scale. He blends storytelling with a kind of “fridge philosophy,” stringing together small scenes, digressions and the questions people usually avoid. What do we do with our lives? How do we make our choices, our renunciations, our little pirouettes to keep standing? Alexis moves forward calmly, with clear phrasing, precise writing, and that slight off-kilter touch that lays the scene before twisting it just enough.
At the Théâtre La Gaîté Rive Gauche in Paris, on June 27, 2026, he unfolds this new set like opening a notebook: personal fragments, field observations, absurd micro-logics, hushed confidences. No grand theories—rather details that line up and eventually shed light on the question without closing it. You hear inner dialogues, tiny lives, shaky plans, and Alexis’s little musical thread, between gentle lucidity and feigned nonchalance. Here there is no pose, just a perspective grounded in lived experience that assembles the pieces and lets the air circulate.
