Daniel Lavoie

Daniel Lavoie returns to Bordeaux at the Théâtre Femina Bordeaux on 27 March 2026 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tension attention. Released in 1983, this album marked a turning point in his career as a singer-songwriter and established several songs that have become touchstones of his French-language repertoire.

On stage, he revisits these songs and places them alongside other pieces that have punctuated his career. The concert unfolds as a journey through his compositions, privileging writing and melody, ranging from ballads to more rhythmic numbers, with the intention of delving back into a pivotal period while connecting it to the present.

He appears accompanied by Jean-François Groulx on piano and musical direction, Paul Brochu on drums, Mathieu Désy on double bass and Laurent Guardo on percussion. Three backing vocalists complete the ensemble — Karine Pion, Émilie Pompa and Myelle — providing harmonies that extend the arrangements and offer a new reading of these songs.
