Steph Strings

On April 1, 2026, at the Salle des Fêtes Bordeaux Grand Parc in Bordeaux, Steph Strings brings her acoustic guitar and her finely honed fingerstyle technique. Originally from Melbourne/Naarm, the singer-songwriter blends percussive picking, delicate melodic lines and stories drawn from nature, introspection and wandering. Straddling folk, blues and Celtic touches, her influences include John Butler, Kim Churchill and Ziggy Alberts, yet her songwriting forges its own path. After the EP LION in 2023, she toured Australia, the UK, Europe and Canada, and opened for The Cat Empire, Vance Joy and Ziggy Alberts. She has appeared on stages such as Rolling Stone Weekender, Woodford Folk Festival, Hillside, Edmonton Folk Festival and Les Escales. In 2024 she released Cradle Mountain, a more introspective EP that confirms her organic connection to wide-open spaces, and continued a world tour that included the Winnipeg Folk Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest. Always on the move, she is writing new material and refining a set in which percussive hits on the soundboard, tapping and natural harmonics underpin direct, narrative songs crafted for the stage.
