On days off, I would sit at the piano and play. As soon as I stopped pressing the piano keys, I would cry. The only way to hold back my tears was to play and listen to the sounds fade slowly and disappear into the body of the piano. Janine Cathrein.
Janine Cathrein and her band, gathered under the name Black Sea Dahu, return with a second album. "I Am My Mother" follows several EPs and the debut album "White Creatures," released in 2018. The record brings together seven songs with orchestral arrangements and dynamics that are at times stormy and unpredictable.
