Info

Dominique Fils-Aimé, a Montreal-based singer-songwriter and contemporary vocal jazz artist, will perform at La Maroquinerie in Paris on April 7, 2026. A two-time Juno Award winner, she forges a clear link between jazz, blues and African-American heritage, with songwriting that places the voice at the center, propelled by breath and rhythm. On stage she unfolds pared-back compositions, rising harmonies and a narrative that draws as much from the intimate as from a collective memory, creating a set in which each piece naturally interlocks with the next. Her career has taken her across Canada—sharing the bill with Allison Russell at Koerner Hall in Toronto—through Europe as the opening act for Melody Gardot, Diana Krall and Ibrahim Maalouf, and then to the United States with appearances in New York and Los Angeles. In Paris she will appear in a compact format that emphasizes closeness, the grain of her voice and the dialogue with the audience, from the opening number to the last.
