Plini

Plini, an Australian guitarist and composer, has carved out a distinctive path from Sydney in the realm of progressive instrumental music. He first attracted attention with self-produced EPs released online, where shifting meters, jazz-tinged harmonies and a metal-derived tension intersect. His debut album, Handmade Cities (2016), laid the groundwork for a precise, melodic songwriting style that drew notice from figures such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and John Petrucci. Since then he has expanded his collaborations, refined his sound—balancing clean guitar tones, dense textures and rhythmic shifts—and toured the globe. A third album is scheduled for early 2026.

Plini will play Le Trianon in Paris on 19 May 2026. It will be an opportunity to explore his output, from early EPs to recent tracks, characterized by lucid themes, striking contrasts and a guitar approach that privileges construction and detail. He will be joined on the bill by Sungazer.
