Pierre-Emmanuel Barré returns with COME-BACK, a play co-written with Arsen. On April 30, 2026 at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès Strasbourg, the French comedian imagines himself in 2031, branded a has-been, and seeks a way back onto the stage. Rather than recycling his old material, he tackles the simple, stubborn question that precedes any comeback: what to say, and why now. On stage he lays bare the making of a new show—its detours, missteps and revisions—accompanied by visual and sound effects that punctuate the staging and shift the perspective. The writing embraces doubt, bad faith and the candor of the craft, and that direct, confrontational link with the audience that fuels his humour. Between theatre and incisive wit, Barré examines the times as much as his own desire to continue, setting out the stakes without evasion: how to remain relevant, what to let go of, what to keep. A moving self-portrait of an artist who, live, is working on his own idea of a return.
