Info
Benjamin Biolay returns to the stage on 5 March 2026 at the Théâtre Royal Mons. The French singer‑songwriter has, since the early 2000s, shaped a modern chanson in which strings meet drum machines, pop flirts with the tango of Palermo Hollywood, and cinematic nods slip into stories of nights and cities. He is known for La Superbe, Grand Prix and Saint‑Clair, for his velvety voice and arrangements that glide from acoustic to electric. On stage he likes to redraw his songs: stretching a bass line, letting a brass instrument speak, then bringing everything back to a clear melody.
He revisits his hits and draws on his latest albums, with writing that is at once direct and novelistic. Biolay also has a collective instinct: as a writer for others and a collaborator of Keren Ann, Vanessa Paradis and Chiara Mastroianni, he seasons his repertoire with echoes and detours. In Mons people come for the songwriting, the texture of his voice and the atmosphere that unfolds without showiness, between intimate asides, pop pulses and a touch of Italy.
