Thibault Cauvin

Thibault Cauvin returns with a very personal project: an album of original works and a tour conceived as a journey, in which the classical guitar opens onto new horizons. He will perform at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes on 26 May 2026, in a concert that places his new compositions and a more present form of writing—between music and words—at its center.

His background is solid: winner of 36 international prizes, he has performed on stages in 130 countries. Classical rigour, a rockier impulse inherited from his father, and a taste for encounters nourish a playing style that crosses formats and borders. He was recently heard in a duo with -M-, proof of a curiosity that favors detours and collaboration.

In Nantes, Thibault Cauvin unfolds this new chapter, more direct and more narrative, where the guitar becomes a space for dialogue and improvisation. He seeks closeness, creates an atmosphere of attentive listening, and works on nuance and depth. This artistic adventure also extends into bookstores with his first novel, Alter Ego, which accompanies the project—an opportunity to encounter him up close in his current writing.
