Verino, a French comedian, returns with Rodéo, a new stand-up show that dives into the tensions that run through us. He moves like someone on a mechanical bull: grounded yet unsteady, alert to every jolt, determined to stay in the saddle. In Rodéo, he seizes our paradoxes, shifting from relationships to work, from the news to the small everyday panics, and ties it all together with a down-to-earth sensibility. His method remains the same: start from the detail, listen to the room, react and build on it, in concise, rhythmic writing. Inherited from Focus and his series Dis Donc Internet, the live element occupies a central place, with ideas shaped in direct contact with the audience, as close to the moment as possible.
