Jimmy Sax

Jimmy Sax returns with Toi & Moi, a new solo format presented at the Cité des Congrès in Nantes on March 11, 2026. After his tour with the Symphonic Dance Orchestra, French saxophonist Jim Rolland, aka Jimmy Sax, refocuses his playing on the essentials: a stage, a loop station, decks, and a palette of instruments that he plays and layers live. Saxophone, piano, guitar, drums, vocals: he builds his pieces layer by layer, sample by sample, offering his repertoire in a more intimate, stripped-back form that remains energetic.

Toi & Moi revives the notion of a rendezvous: a face-to-face encounter with the audience, without unnecessary frills, where each piece takes on a different color depending on the moment. Familiar themes are transformed, grooves are reshaped, and the saxophone line guides everything with a sense of rhythm that has become his signature on stage and in the studio. Between improvisations, gradual buildups and melodic detours, Jimmy Sax lets the music breathe, lets intensity flow, and explores a direct connection with the room. The concert is conceived as a live experience, close to the artist and his inspirations, to rediscover his songs and hear him compose before your eyes.
