Roland Magdane

Roland Magdane is embarking on his farewell tour, the one that closes fifty years on stage, of sketches and of letters addressed to the public as to a close friend. A French humorist renowned for his family tales, his misunderstandings and his characters teetering on the edge of the absurd, he draws on what has defined his style: observation of everyday life, a love of storytelling, and a sense of rhythm that lets laughter rise naturally. He looks his career squarely in the eye, with the intimacy that has followed him from town to town, and asserts a desire to pass the torch and make room for younger artists, without giving up the pleasure of performing.
