The Dark Horror

Based in Brussels, Belgium, The Dark Horror delivers uptempo hardcore defined by very fast tempos, a dark atmosphere, and an energy firmly focused on the dancefloor. Initially an avid listener of hardcore scenes and events devoted to extreme sounds, the act moved into production and DJing around 2016 with the aim of forging a personal style at the intersection of hardcore, uptempo, and more industrial-leaning atmospheres. The project's first official release arrived in 2017 with the track "Calling The Demon", a collaboration with Future Kickz on the Footworxx label, launching a series of singles and EPs featuring aggressive kicks, processed vocals, and ominous atmospheres. The act later appeared on various specialist labels, including Partyraiser Records — where "Coke Boy" was released — and Triple Six Records, with which it continued its uptempo output. Active behind the decks in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Italy, The Dark Horror has gradually stamped its sonic signature on the European hardcore party and festival circuit through fast-paced sets, a selection centered on its own productions, and a very direct approach to the dancefloor.
