DJ i producent Hugel, pochodzący z Marsylii we Francji, zwrócił na siebie uwagę w połowie lat 2010. dzięki serii singli utrzymanych w klimacie dance-pop i vocal house, zanim stopniowo wprowadził do swoich produkcji bardziej perkusyjne i latynoskie elementy. Współpraca z Robinem Schulzem przy utworze „I Believe I’m Fine” w 2017 roku była istotnym punktem zwrotnym, po którym nastąpił jego remix „Bella Ciao” dla El Profesora w 2018 roku oraz singiel „WTF” z Amber Van Day w tym samym roku, co rozszerzyło zasięg Hugela.
