Info
On April 21, 2027, La Yegros sets up shop at Les Abattoirs in Bourgoin-Jallieu with her nu-cumbia that pushes boundaries. A figure on the global scene since the 2010s, she crafts a sound in which northeastern Argentina intersects with edgy electronics: cumbia, chamamé, carnavalito, pop, with touches of hip-hop, all propelled by a direct vocal delivery and bass that pounds. In her repertoire, tracks that have become landmarks include Viene de Mi and Chicha Roja, and this distinctly personal approach to letting folklore dialogue with machines without smoothing over its rough edges. On stage, the fusion takes on another dimension: Latin percussion, chopped rhythms, catchy melodies, and collective energy. A concert designed for the body, but with a real sonic identity, between tropical warmth and electric pulsations.
