Info
On December 5, 2027, The Lightning Seeds land at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom for a show built on sharp songwriting and those bright, instantly recognizable choruses. Born in late-80s Liverpool around Ian Broudie, the project started as a near one-man studio venture, with Broudie shaping a clean, melodic pop-rock sound that sits between indie pop, alternative rock and Britpop.
Expect a set that moves through the band’s 90s era, when tracks like The Life of Riley, Change, Lucky You, Perfect and You Showed Me helped define their place on the UK festival and live circuit: polished production, supple guitars, and hooks that stick without trying too hard. The story also includes left-field moments and collaborations, and a nod to Three Lions, the song that became a piece of British football culture. More recent records like Four Winds and See You in the Stars show the same knack for crisp arrangements, now brought to the stage with full-band energy.
