Info
On May 12, 2027, at O2 Academy Bristol, Hootie & The Blowfish bring their warm, guitar-driven American rock back to the stage. Formed in South Carolina in the late ’80s, the band built its sound on bright chords, clean grooves and Darius Rucker’s unmistakable deep voice, sitting somewhere between pop rock, rootsy melodies and that college-rock ease. Expect a set that leans into big choruses and straightforward songwriting, with room for the band’s later chapters too, from their post-’90s records to the comeback era that took shape again on the road.
Also on the bill, Spin Doctors add their elastic, New York-bred mix of alternative rock and funk-rock swing. Known for a live approach that keeps songs tight while letting the groove breathe, they’ll tap into the early-’90s energy that put them on the map and the more blues-rock edge they’ve leaned into in recent years.
