Info
DIIV lands at Le Transbordeur in Villeurbanne on June 3, 2027, with its trademark blend of weightless guitars, shoegaze haze, and melodies that cling without forcing. Born in Brooklyn around Zachary Cole Smith, the band has built its identity album after album, moving the lines between indie rock, dream pop, and a tension more post-punk.
From Oshin to Is the Is Are, DIIV thickened their writing and densified their textures, before hardening the tone on Deceiver and continuing in a more direct vein on Frog in Boiling Water. On stage, Smith, Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield, and Ben Newman play on contrast: taut rhythms, layers of guitars stacking on one another, and the way they render violence as softness in the same breath. A concert to let yourself be swept up by, with no unnecessary frills.
