Info
On April 8, 2027, Bertrand Belin returns to the stage at La Sirène in La Rochelle with Watt, a record that pursues purity without sacrificing breath. His deep voice and his richly textured phrasing carry songs where the elegance of French chanson intersects with more contemporary pulses, with detours toward French Touch, Portishead-like atmospheres, and a few jazz colours in the 1950s vein.
With this new repertoire, Belin continues to write with a scalpel: sharp images, characters in chiaroscuro, a sense of rhythm in the words that brushes against spoken word, and that unmistakable way of speaking about the digital era, the vertigo of the present, hope, and "ordinary love." A concert conceived as a narrative, blending restrained lyricism and electric tension, for a date that sounds like a return to the source.
