Info
On July 3, 2027, David Gray brings his long-running singer-songwriter craft to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock. Emerging in the 1990s on the UK folk and rock circuit, he built his early sound around guitar-led folk rock before shifting into a more modern, intimate palette. The set is likely to move between bare-bones songwriting and those subtle electronic textures and piano lines that became a signature around White Ladder, the record that pushed him into the wider spotlight and carried songs like Babylon, This Year’s Love, and Sail Away.
Across albums from A New Day at Midnight and Life in Slow Motion to Gold in a Brass Age and Skellig, Gray has kept refining that balance: acoustic roots, melodic directness, and production that can turn atmospheric without getting in the way of the words. Expect a show that plays on dynamics, from quiet, close-up moments to fuller, pulse-driven crescendos.
