Info
The Bones of J.R. Jones is the solo project of American Jonathon Linaberry: a folk-blues nourished by Americana, conceived as a one-man band where the voice leads the way, surrounded by guitar, banjo, and minimalist percussion. His writing favors road imagery, nature, and introspection, with a fondness for ballads that grip as they let silences breathe. After several records that sharpened this formula, including Dark Was the Yearling, Spirit's Furnace, and Ones To Keep Close, he continues the momentum of Slow Lightning, where the more electric energy rubs against more stripped-down moments.
On November 22, 2026, at the Ritz PDB in Montreal, he will present this repertoire in a direct, live, and intimate performance, between rural blues and contemporary folk, with that sense of rhythm and storytelling that makes you feel close to the source.
