Info
Marika Hackman is coming to Debaser Strand in Stockholm on March 17, 2027, with her own blend of dark folk, indie rock and alternative pop, where stripped-down guitars share space with more electronic textures. Her songs move close to the skin: a hushed yet clear voice, detailed lyrics and an expression that shifts between the minimalist and atmospheric and a more straightforward rock-driven energy. After the journey from We Slept at Last via the more band-like I'm Not Your Man and the more synth-driven pop vein on Any Human Friend, she has continued to refine her sound, both through collaborations and by daring to change form. With Big Sigh (2024) she takes a step back toward the restrained and introspective, with clear melodies and tight production that highlight themes around relationships, the body and worry. Expect a concert where the intimate feels expansive without becoming overloaded.
