Info
Bess Atwell brings her quietly intense indie-folk universe to Whelan’s in Dublin on April 27, 2027. London-born and shaped by the UK’s indie circuits since the mid-2010s, she writes songs that sit between acoustic folk and hushed folk-pop, carried by a soft but straight-to-the-point voice and arrangements that leave space for the words to hit.
On stage, her focus is on detail: everyday scenes, relationships, the little spirals of doubt you don’t always say out loud. Expect a set that can move from bare, intimate moments to fuller, melancholic pop textures, drawing on the arc from Hold Your Mind to Already, Always, and into her more recent material like Light Sleeper, produced by Aaron Dessner, plus the EP More Than Science. A night for anyone who likes songs that feel close, without trying to impress.
