Info
Orbital bring their long-form, melodic take on British electronic music to Glasgow on 15 April 2027, landing at the Barrowland Ballroom for a night built on movement and detail. Since the late 80s, Phil and Paul Hartnoll have been shaping a sound that sits between techno drive, breakbeat snap, ambient stretches and that IDM edge that rewards close listening as much as it hits on a big system.
Expect tracks that evolve patiently rather than rush their punchlines: themes loop, mutate and open out, with the duo’s knack for turning club DNA into something that works on a stage. From the early rush of “Chime” through the broader palettes of albums like Snivilisation and In Sides, Orbital’s catalogue is made for set-building, with space for tension, release and those sideways turns they’re known for. Their recent chapter, including Optical Delusion, keeps that forward motion without pretending the past didn’t happen.
