Info
On July 21, 2027, Matchbox Twenty bring their “30” tour to Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, leaning into the kind of big, hook-heavy American rock they’ve been shaping since the late ’90s. Built around Rob Thomas’ instantly recognizable voice and a band chemistry that’s made for live rooms, the set should move smoothly between taut ballads, melodic mid-tempos, and sharper-edged tracks. Expect that guitar-forward writing and those radio-built choruses to hit differently in a full-scale outdoor show, with the band’s later era in the mix too, including material from Where the Light Goes.
Support comes from David Gray, whose folk-rock songwriting and acoustic-pop touch bring a more intimate angle to the night. Known for spare melodies, piano-led moments, and subtle electronic textures, he’s the kind of opener who can pull a crowd in fast, setting a mood before Matchbox Twenty turn it back into a singalong.
