What began as street music in Hamburg has taken them to stages around the world, from the United States to New Zealand, most recently also to Ukraine. Their sound: an energetic blend of indie, alternative and rock that combines raw power with emotional depth. When frontman Paul Weber reaches for the trumpet or moves the audience with stories from life on tour, between laughter and reflection, something happens that is more than a concert—a moment of genuine connection. The distance between band and audience dissolves, and suddenly you’re right in the thick of it.
After more than 20 years of band history and four released EPs, the band now presents its first studio album, 'OI – Original Intelligence'. On the debut album, DenManTau tackles topics such as artificial intelligence and transhumanism and counters them with something increasingly rare: human originality. In a time when algorithms push the real aside, they remind us what music can be: immediate, connective, alive.
In spring 2027, DenManTau will embark on the 'Organic Intelligence Tour 2027' with the new album. Line-up:
- Paul Weber (vocals/trumpet)
- Julian Schonscheck (guitar/keys)
- Jonas Gerigk (guitar)
- Stefan Pomplun (bass)
- Hanser Schüler (drums)
