Info
On November 21, 2026 in Calgary at Grey Eagle, Kino brings its songs back to the stage with a full-scale show built around the band’s late-80s repertoire. Founded in Leningrad in 1981, Kino shaped a lean mix of post-punk, new wave and rock, driven by clear guitars, dry rhythms and that urban tension that made their melodies instantly recognizable.
For this concert, Yuri Kasparyan, Igor Tikhomirov, and Alexander Titov take the lead, running through the essential tracks from albums like Noch, Gruppa krovi and Zvezda po imeni Solntse. The set is designed as a long, song-first performance, with Viktor Tsoi’s presence returning through a restored, digitally remastered vocal. It’s a way to hear these classics in a modern live format while keeping the direct, stripped-down spirit that made Kino a landmark band for a whole generation.
