Info
Ayra Starr brings her StarrGirl World Tour to Montréal on March 31, 2027, for a night built around the afropop wave she’s been shaping between Lagos energy and global pop ambition. Raised between Benin and Nigeria, she moves naturally between contemporary R&B, afrobeats and the alté edge, with a style that leans on tight melodic hooks and a voice that stays flexible no matter the tempo.
Onstage, expect a set that pulls from her early breakthrough, from the EP Ayra Starr to 19 & Dangerous, plus the run of tracks that pushed her far beyond Nigeria, including the era that followed Rush. Her recent album The Year I Turned 21 adds a more introspective tone, without losing that direct, coming-of-age writing about relationships, self-assertion and growing up. At MTELUS, the show should feel like a snapshot of an artist who can switch languages, moods and rhythms in the same breath, while keeping the same afropop backbone.
