Trude is getting drunk in the ship's onboard bistro. We argue about consumer rights while debris from a freighter drifts past. I recognize familiar fragments of my childhood bedroom in the wreckage as a roar pierces the room. The power flickers, the pressure relief valves screech. Outside, I see the satellites shatter. A jet of spray cheese bursts from a crater with a crash and strikes the cracking windshield. Without gravity, Trude drifts about like a broken buzzing top. A creature that looks like sausage in a dryer extends a crumpled brochure toward me. On it, in large letters: Investigation of scent marketing, based on commercial deployment with psychological influence on feelings of well-being and monetary influences on purchasing behavior. Then I wake up.
