Combo Club: House N°6, Kicks, Ordinaire Takeover

House, funk/soul, disco.

- Ordinaire Takeover
- Kicks
- House n°6 (Kate & Laisse Lucie Faire)

Combo Club, the new Thursday appointment at Karmen Camina. DJ sets that start at the bar before continuing on the club’s dancefloor. A way to showcase several facets of the venue and the artists, and to ease into the weekend at its own pace.

DJs and organizers of the Ordinaire nights in Strasbourg, Rony, El Kazed, Big Freak and Thelau play records ranging from obscure releases to more recent productions. Spanning funk to house and through disco, they energize the local scene and invite international guests such as Antal, Soichi Terada, or Léa Lisa. Ordinaire Records is also a label with five vinyl-only releases, with the support of Brawther, Chez Damier, and Jeremy Underground.

A proponent of the return of garage and 90s house since 2008, Kicks is a producer and DJ active on the French scene since his first release on Cracki Records in 2013. Whether drawing from the soulful garage house of the 90s or a more tech-house sound from the early 2000s, Kicks maintains his underground persona and the chord-rich sounds that define his style. A club and soulful blend that has convinced labels such as Rutilance, Joule (Yoyaku), Ordinaire, and DJs like Kolter, Cinthie, Chris Stussy.

House n°6 is a Strasbourg-based project born from the meeting of Kate and Laisse Lucie Faire, initially roommates and then B2B partners. United by a shared love of house, disco, UK garage, and soulful and R&B influences, they carry this spirit forward each week on Zest Radio with a show conceived as a moment of relaxation among friends, at the threshold of the night and the weekend.
