Info
On December 10, 2026, Ruti brings their shape-shifting songwriting to Rough Trade Liverpool for a set built on voice, texture, and close-up storytelling. Based in London, the Essex-born artist moves between folk, pop, and soul with a light jazz touch, stitching layered harmonies to subtle electronic details without losing that intimate, conversational pull.
This show taps into the chapter opened by the EP Maybe I Got It Wrong (2025), where questions of identity, family, and connection sit at the heart of the songs. Expect a repertoire that balances direct melodies with introspective writing, the kind that can turn a simple chord change into a whole mood. From early releases to their more alternative-leaning recent work, Ruti’s music keeps evolving, and this night in Liverpool is a chance to catch that momentum live, as new material written with close collaborators starts to take shape on stage.
