Info
Dove Ellis, the Irish-born Thomas O’Donoghue’s project, brings his indie-folk to the Artheater in Cologne on December 4, 2026. The focus is on voice and guitar, close to acoustic songwriting, but with an indie-rock edge that keeps the songs open and flexible. After the EP To the Sandals and singles like 'Love Is' or 'Pale Song', he has taken his sound into a long-form format with his debut album Blizzard: clear melodies, meticulous song structures, and a knack for those gently hovering lines that linger long after.
Live, Ellis has already demonstrated as a supporting act on the US leg of Geese's Getting Killed Tour how well the material works on stage: intimate passages that unfold with little effort, and lyrics that do more than set a mood — they truly tell stories. In Cologne, one can expect a tight, focused evening that moves between quiet closeness and the energy of a live band.
